The All-Russian Exhibition Center is a favorable recreation venue for Muscovites and guests of the capital. AREC offers to its adult and young visitors to visit the attraction park with Europe's highest Panoramic Ring, Entree circus, the Masters' City, the Fisherman's Village, a paint-ball club, the play-ground, and City of Discoveries and Creative Work, and Maugli game club. It is not by chance that an epithet given to the Exhibition by contemporaries is the Garden City. Those enjoying quiet recreation will appreciate the green attire of AREC a sort of chef d'oeuvre of garden and park art created by the nation's best landscape architects. Public gardens, parks, a cascade of ponds, and forest area, a module garden, and numerous flower parterres are integrated into the single composition. Amateur fishermen should not necessarily leave Moscow looking for a "location abounding in fish" and good biting. Unique fishing all the year round and all day round is waiting for them in the Fishermen's Village near the Likhobory entrance. With a simple fishing-rod, one can catch a sturgeon, a trout, a carp, and a white sturgeon weighing up to 20 kg there. A trout river and a carp pond opens up for the summer season in the Fisherman's Village; recreation cottages and a 20-person Finnish sauna have been built there. Fishing rod hire office, guarded parking lot, a Russian cuisine cafe with a great variety of fresh fish dishes, such as carp soup, smoked trout, and crayfish, work round the clock for amateur fishermen. Those preferring more active recreation are welcome to the Paint-Ball Club located nearby the Likhobory entrance. The play-ground located in the natural forest, on the river-bank, is considered one of the best in Moscow. There are approx. 30 various shelters, the obstacle range, trenches and even a true self-propelled rocket unit there. Experienced coaches will offer up to 40 different game scenarios to you. You can take a bite in the recreation area of the Paint-Ball Club or to shoot in the shooting-range from a pomp pistol that even a child can handle. Paint-Ball will give you unique feelings; helps get rid of stress and to self-affirm, to feel the sense of victory. Entree open-air circus opened up its first season at AREC in May 1992. Since then, from mid-April to mid-October, it gladdens Muscovites and guests of the capital by its merry circus performances as well as concerts, contests, parties and discos. AREC's visitors are able to attend zoo lectures, to ride a camel, and to look at a mini zoo. Children's games and quite safe attractions are waiting for young visitors at the entrance. Side shows are integral part of the park entertainment. The park of side shows was established in 1995 by Mir conversion works together with AREC. It is now righteously called the Russian Side Show Exhibition. Europe's biggest panoramic ring, a motordrome, gigantic seesaws, steep hills all of the side shows are new, modern and safe. For those who came to have a rest at AREC, Russian side shows mean emotional relaxation, absolute safety and affordable prices. It is for the fourth season that the Masters' City is open at AREC. Everything keeps the warmth of hands of Russian masters here from a small wooden spoon to a huge terem with a symbolic name of Rus. Visitors of the City are offered the unique opportunity of looking at the masters' achievements and getting advice on different industries and traditional crafts. One can get acquainted with works of Russia's North, of classical and contemporary carving, various kinds of embroidery, and to admire smiths' works. |
