VVC Managing Director: Russia must become the world leader in the exhibition business

The world financial crisis and recession underway in the western countries enable Russia to become one of the world centers of exhibition industry, thinks Mr. Mohamed Musayev, Managing Director of the All-Russia Exhibition Center.
As Mohamed Musayev said, the economic recession in USA and Europe makes many exhibition companies close down their business and curtail their budgets.
Mohamed Musayev believes that under such conditions it is Russia that may and must become a vital center for prestigious universal and sectoral international exhibitions. The Russian exhibition industry and its flagship, the All-Russia Exhibition Center, are prepared to offer new opportunities to their national and foreign partners, emphasized the VVC Managing Director.
Mohamed Musayev recalled that the Russia and Europe largest exhibition pavilion that possesses the required infrastructure and fully meets the international standards had been recently opened at VVC.
Earlier, at the meeting of the Moscow City Government, Mr. Yuri Luzhkov, Mayor of Moscow, stated that “without a solid exhibition infrastructure Moscow would never become the world financial center, VVC remaining the first and primary congress and exhibition site in the city”.
According to Mohamed Musayev, the exhibition plan for 2009 has been finalized, and a large part of the display area will be dedicated to competitive products of Russian manufacturers and small businesses from Russian regions.
