The Russian National Exhibition in India has been opened!

On November 25, 2008, the Russian National Exhibition in India was opened.
The opening ceremony was attended by Victor Khristenko, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Trubnikov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India, Grigory Rapota, Authorized Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Kamal Natkh, Member of the Board of the Indian-Russian Business Council of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mohamed Musayev, Managing Director of OAO “GAO VVC” as well as representatives of public authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
In his welcoming address at the opening ceremony Mohamed Musayev, Managing Director of OAO “GAO VVC”, said: “Today we are attending the event which is critical for further relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of India.
The Exhibition is a real and significant tool of mainstreaming mutual trade, promoting investment cooperation. The Exhibition is attended by some 300 enterprises from 21 regions of Russia. The Exhibition will be accompanied by an extensive program of business events, meetings, negotiations and presentations.
We are confident that the Russian National Exhibition will result in a higher percentage of hi-tech products in our bilateral trade”.
The opening ceremony was followed by a press conference of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation which highlighted the vital issues of promoting cooperation between the two nations in the financial sphere and the area of high technologies, in the fuel and energy sector and military technologies, space sector and aircraft engineering, information technologies and communication.
